How would Erron Black react to his moody teenager daughter ?
*Changing that to moody teenage child because the headcanons are to be kept gender neutral, yes, please, thank you.*
As I’ve mentioned before, Erron had to take care of his younger siblings, which means he’s seen some of them grow into moody teenagers. He’s very supportive of his child, knowing that it’s awkward for them trying to come into themselves, develop their identities and really try and figure out who they are. It’s tough and he gets it. So he’s not going to be the type of parent who holds a firm leash on his child, no, he gives them the room they need to grow. And he encourages his so to do the same thing. “They’ve got to make their own mistakes in order to learn how to fix them.” He’s there when they need him, and he’s there to discipline them when they are needlessly cruel or spiteful, but he won’t stop them from growing up.
Though he would be very very sad dad when his child is old enough to leave the homestead. He wants to be written to every chance they get, because he still doesn’t know how phones or email works and he probably never will.
